When Hurricane Sandy hit our shores and damage our communities, thousands of people depended on the goodwill of our neighbors to bring hope and relief. The Reaching-Out Community Services program became a support and relief Outreach to most of the affected areas, especially the day after the Storm. With the help of many volunteers we were able to collaborate with the Food Bank for New York City, City Harvest and the Red Cross providing over $800,000 of food and supplies.

The outreach last for over 14 months. During and after that time, The Reaching-Out organization had created a program called F.E.A.T (Firsthand Emergency Action Team). This team is made up of our local and distant community members to help with any form of disaster where we can assist in.

With climate change and the unknown for the near future of what Mother Nature can Challenge us with, it is important to have a team willing and ready when needed for whatever comes our way.

So with that said, for those who would like to join our team please send an email to: Info@rcsprograms.org and mention you like to join the F.E.A.T program.  Please leave your name, phone number and email.

If you are willing, then let's be ready.  We will be holding a team meeting soon.
