Tutoring

Summer Tutoring for Your Child

During the summer months we provide tutoring for children grades 2 through 8, three days a week, two hours per day. Focus is on improvement in math, reading and writing skills, preparing for New York State testing exams, establishing a better vocabulary, strong writing skills and more effective studying techniques. This program is designed for children that need undivided attention with a small class or one on one lessons.

As a part of the intake process, we refer clients to needed services such as food stamps, housing subsidies and other emergency food programs. We work on behalf of our clients by directly contacting the appropriate agencies.

Free Tax Assistance Starting In February 2010 by Appointment
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) provides working families in the New York area with free tax preparation.

We offer this service as well as counseling about the dangers of high blood pressure.If the client has high blood pressure we refer him/her to health services which are free to the needy.
