Free Tax Assistance Starting In February 2010 by Appointment
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) provides working families in the New York area with free tax preparation.
The Free Tax Assistance Program provided by the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is offered to New Yorker’s whose income is low-to-moderate Additional information on how to access the various credits they are entitled to for example, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) for individuals and families are processed as well. Our free tax services can constitute a significant step from poverty toward self-sufficiency.
The VITA program helps families and individuals receive the tax benefits available to them, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The VITA Program offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income (generally, $49,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns.
