About Volunteering:

Volunteers play an important part in every department at the RCS Program and the opportunities to serve are numerous and varied.  

Volunteer Eligibility:

Volunteers must be at least 15 years or older to volunteer independently (without a parent or guardian’s consent). The RCS Program does not accept court-mandated volunteers.

Getting Started:

The first step is to attend one of our volunteer orientation sessions. During orientation an overview of our organization and volunteer needs is provided.  Potential volunteers may then supply information about their skills and interests so that they may be matched with the appropriate volunteer job at the RCS program.

Some Typical RCS Volunteer Jobs

FOOD PANTRY SECTION: 

Duties: Greet and help our clients by assisting them of food choices they can receive. Help with restocking the shelves. Help bag the client’s food items.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 5 pm   Thursday 10am – 7 pm

(shifts available) 

Requirements: Volunteers need to be out-going, friendly, possess good communication skills.

Dress properly and neat.

Office Work:

Duties: Make copies, help with mailings.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 5 pm   Thursday 10am – 7 pm 

Requirements: must be detailed oriented and able to multi-task.
