Throughout this pandemic till this date we have remained open and bringing relief to thousands of families that have struggle before and during this pandemic. Outside of providing close to two million dollars of food worth, Reaching-Out Community Services has been diligent in bringing as many resources to the Brooklyn community as possible.

The pandemic has impacted our neighbors in such countless ways, assisting with available benefits is invaluable. Thus far we have secured $183,000 in Utility Arrears Assistance, as well as $66,000 in funds through Project Parachute to help Families move into secure housing. Rental Arrears has been a major community issue and to date RCS has successfully processed $522,400 to assist community members and have also been able to help those unable to collect unemployment through the Excluded Workers Fund collectively process about $78,000 in funds.

Through HRA we continue to help our Brooklyn families and have assisted with approximately $39,312 in monthly Cash Assistance as well as countless SNAP and Free Tax Prep for our low-income constituents re-cooping almost half a million dollars in tax refunds for the 2020 tax season.

After 30 years of service we are blessed that we were able to remain available for neighbors in need.

We to aim to keep all of our services relevant to the greatest need of those who seek assistance.
